Ocres rouges: Allegro con fuoco

Clio Theodoridis and Jonathan Nemtanu release their first single, Orches Oranges, a rhapsodic work inspired by klezmer folklore, the traditional music of Central European Jewish communities. Originally written for saxophonist Jean-Denis Michat, the piece draws on klezmer’s wide expressive range, moving between dance-like vitality and moments of introspection. The composer evokes a spectrum of colours and textures, from the energy and virtuosity associated with red to the softer tones of ochres and earth pigments, shaping a work that balances intensity with lyricism.
